Projects Manager
My Client provides water purification, waste water, and water recovery treatment plants.
The Company manufactures its own design of water purification equipment for dedicated purposes, primarily health care. It also designs, builds and or sources and installs its own, or bespoke equipment. These installations are all considered projects.
They have a national team of Engineers providing, service to water purification equipment, that they and others have supplied.
This position will be based in Somerset.
The job holder will be a key member of the management team and to contribute to the profitability of the Company, via the management and development of the projects department.
The purpose of the role, is to manage the execution of projects involving the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of water/wastewater/water recovery treatment plants.
The position will be based at the Head Office in Somerset, but there will be the need to visit and survey sites, (especially during plant installation and commissioning), in addition to meeting Clients, equipment suppliers and subcontractors.
Essential:
Project management experience within the water treatment industry
Process knowledge of Water Purification technologies ideally to include: Reverse Osmosis, Deionisation, Pumping, Water Recycling, Effluent Treatment, Filtration.
The Project Manager would be professionally qualified to degree level and have a background as a Process, Chemical or Mechanical engineer
Experience of team management and providing management information
Demonstrable understanding and experience of Health & Safety
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure
Knowledge and be a competent user of - Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Access, AutoCAD.
Desirable:
Previous projects / contracts department Management experience
Knowledge of CDM regulations
Experience of working within pharmaceutical and or health care water standards
H & S qualifications
Remuneration:
Salary to circa £40k
