Overview of the role of CAD Engineer:-
• 3D CAD modelling and detailed engineering drawing
• SolidWorks CAD software
• Opportunity to learn PDMWorks Enterprise data management software
• CAD modelling techniques (including sheet metal)
• Detailed engineering drawings, including tolerancing and drawing symbols - re-working old drawings
• Document control and organisational abilities
• Provide ‘design for manufacture’ input into the equipment design process.
• Working with other departments on project driven activities
• Housekeeping of existing drawing / document library
• Some production planning / production engineering planning - ad-hoc
• Dealing with all types and levels of people
